Watch one of the brilliant shows at Norwich Theatre Playhouse and learn from internationally acclaimed authors at the National Centre for Writing. The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts has works by Picasso, Degas and Henry Moore, as well as cutting-edge contemporary artists.
Norwich is the most complete medieval city in England. Stroll through the Cathedral Quarter to see medieval and Tudor buildings. You’ll find Art Nouveau Royal Arcade, Norwich Castle and historic Norwich Market – one of the largest and oldest open-air markets in the UK – in the Castle Quarter. And in the winding Norwich Lanes, you can sip artisan coffee in this historic and charming setting.
Norwich is 90 minutes from London by train, and there are cross-country links to Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield. Travel by car is via A47, A11, A140 and A146. Norwich Airport has flights to the North of England and Scotland. It’s easy to walk and cycle around the city, or there are local bus services.
