Nottingham has a rich history as an industrial hub and, most famously, as the home of Robin Hood. Visit the Robin Hood statue outside Nottingham Castle to get a photo with the city’s favourite altruistic outlaw. Afterwards, stroll around the corner to England’s oldest pub, Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem, also known as The Trip.
Trams and buses are an easy and convenient way to travel within the city, with student discount options available. Located right in the centre of England, Nottingham has convenient travel links across the UK. Nottingham Station is the second busiest train station in the Midlands after Birmingham as it’s a key travel link to the South, London St Pancras and the North. For flights and international travel, East Midlands Airport is 15 miles southwest of the city.
