What is Clearing?

Clearing is UCAS's way of matching students with university courses that still have places available.

You may be eligible for clearing if you:

  • Didn't receive any offers
  • Didn't meet the conditions of your offer
  • Are applying after the main application deadline

  • Achieved different results from those you expected and want to explore alternative options
