For the second year running, Fresh Property Group (Fresh) and British Heart Foundation (BHF) have joined forces to raise awareness and help fund lifesaving research into cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n Fresh’s student and residents have shown their support to BHF as part of it’s Pack for Good campaign, donating 49 tonnes worth of preloved items, which is the equivalent of 8 male African grey elephants. BHF have reported that the donated stock has raised an estimated £128,478, which goes towards helping fund lifesaving research into cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n These donations form part of Fresh’s company-wide initiative and support for the Pack for Good campaign. Diverting preloved items from waste and directing them to BHF shops to raise money for a good cause, is a key element of Fresh’s sustainability strategy.<\/p>\n The campaign, run by BHF, encourages Fresh students and residents to donate preloved items (such as clothing, shoes, books, bags and small electrical items) throughout the year, enabling the charity to reuse goods that might otherwise go to waste. Throughout the campaign, Fresh’s Residents have been incredibly supportive and made full use of the donation drop off points, located in each and every property Fresh manages within the UK.<\/p>\n Amanda Purkiss, BHF Partnership Manager said:<\/strong><\/p>\n “We have been delighted with the response from This is Fresh students and their incredible support. Our shops rely on donations to continue raising money to fund lifesaving research.
