We are keeping a close eye on government advice across the UK and Ireland, and putting in place a range of measures to ensure our buildings are fully Covid-secure.
We hold a range of virtual events to connect you with flatmates and build the vibrant communities our residents know and love. Take a look at the details of our"Be" wellbeing programme for more details.
Our COVID 19 arrangements have being independently audited by the British Safety Council (BSC). Following an in depth review of our practices, were pleased to say that the BSCs health and safety specialists have given the control measures that weve put in place their COVID-Secure accreditation.

All international students arriving in the UK and Ireland will be required to undertake COVID -19 testing and isolate for a given period, either in specially dedicated hotels or locations identified on your passenger locator form.
Arriving into the UK All students arriving into the UK should be aware of the restrictions placed on persons entering the UK for other countries. The UK government has categorised countries based on the risk that persons pose on importing COVID 19 into the country. These categories are as follows:
- Red list: High-risk countries
- Amber list: Moderate-risk countries
- Green list: Low-risk countries
All students need to be aware as to how these categories and restrictions on travel apply to them. You will be required to follow isolation and testing requirements. We have linked information below:
- England - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus#prepare-to-return-to-the-uk
- Scotland - https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-international-travel-quarantine/pages/overview/

If you are required to self-isolate in our properties you should minimise all contact with your flatmates during this time, for example by using the shared facilities such as the kitchen and living areas when they are not already in use by another member of your new household.
If this isnt possible, we would request that 2m distancing is maintained from others or a face covering is worn.
Our Residents Teams will be on hand for support and help during this time so please contact them by WhatsApp with any queries.
Arriving into Ireland If you are staying in one of our locations in Ireland, you should ensure that you follow all requirements for entry into Ireland. This includes those transiting through Northern Ireland. Please take a look at the information found here: https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/b4020-travelling-to-ireland-during-the-covid-19-pandemic/
Check in weekends is our one of our busiest times of the year. With the large number of residents arriving at the property over a short period, its appropriate that we take additional COVID 19 precautions to keep yourself and our staff safe.
We will be in contact with you to arrange a check in slot, this is to minimise the numbers of residents arriving at the same time. We would also ask you to stick to the check-in slot that you have booked and that your loved ones only stay for the time it takes to get you settled in. You should ensure that you and your guest observe all of the Covid-19 signage thats in place around the building too.
On arrival, all of your paperwork and keys will be waiting for you in reception. This will enable you to go straight to your room, unpack and fill out any documents required in your own time.
We have created an online form for you to use to tell us the details of anyone helping you move in. Their personal information will only be shared with health authorities if requested, and all data will be deleted 30 days after check-in. You Residents Team will email this form to you before you arrive.
We also ask that face coverings are worn at all times when moving around the building. You wont need to wear a face covering if you are seated in reception or in a social space.
Whilst there are no obligations regarding households coming together, we would recommend that residents either undertake a lateral flow test and receive a negative result or socially distance from flatmates for the first 10 days of moving into your accommodation.
We are keen to understand if any of our residents are displaying symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19 and were here to support you should you be unwell or isolating. We ask that if you fall ill due to the Coronavirus that you make us aware as soon as possible. This can be done using the QR code displayed in your flat, or alternatively by contacting us by phone or WhatsApp.
We will monitor cases on a daily basis and implement additional measures as required should infection rates rise in the building.
We welcome your visitors to our accommodation, but request that our residents ensure that their visitors always follow our COVID 19 arrangements and guidance.
Our social spaces are now open, and whilst COVID 19 restrictions and social distancing have being lifted we would ask that all residents are considerate to other residents wishes regarding social distancing.
Our gyms are now open, please follow the onsite gym etiquette with regards to wiping down machinery and equipment after use.
We will continue to ensure that these facilities are COVID safe through regular cleaning.
The scientific evidence suggests that the most effective method of protecting yourself is to social distance, wash hands, keep surfaces clean and increase ventilation.
You can help protect yourself by frequency washing your hands for a minimum of twenty seconds and every time you return to the property following a trip to the shops or youre your outdoor exercise.
On entry to the building, we have also installed hand sanitising units for your use.
You will have seen our cleaning teams disinfecting all high traffic touch points, such as door handles and bannisters. This is to reduce the risk of the infection spreading through those areas of the building that you touch the most.
If you are living in any of our buildings and are contacted by your local public health body (track and trace) to alert you that you have had recent contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, we would appreciate you letting your Residents Team know so that we can help you isolate for the required period.
Whilst not mandatory, we are encouraging all staff to wear face coverings unless they are working behind the Perspex screens.
If maintenance works or access is required within your accommodation our teams will wear a face masks at all times, this will include our contractors.
All of our management suites are open as normal. We would request that where possible contact with our teams is made using WhatsApp, email or phone. This will help us manage the numbers of person in our management suite at any one time.
WWe acknowledge that this is not always possible and have therefore implemented a queuing system and placed Perspex screens on desks.
